I am a professional Hair Stylist/Make-up Artist from the Bay Area. I have been in the Beauty Industry for over 15 years (Hair, Make-up and Fashion) from a youth to young adulthood through the many Beauty Pageants I've competed in and various Fashion shows and photo shoots as a model. Also as a Professional Dancer for the the NFL (49ers/ Gold Rush Girl) and the NBA (Golden State Warriors/Warrior Girl). I Studied Fashion at Brooks College in Long Beach, Ca graduating with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. I began perfecting my craft while living in Los Angeles where fashion and beauty is always at its highest. I then returned home to the Bay Area and completed my Cosmetology studies at the prestigious Paul Mitchell School In Pleasant Hill, CA.; specializing in Hair Styling and Make-up. There at Paul Mitchell I was also able to supplement my technical studies with real world, practical, business experience with a plethora of organizations and artists alike, such as MTV, San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Saber Cats, Walt Disney, Levi Strauss, Macys Annual Fashion Shows, Farouk Systems, The League of Extraordinary Stylist, International Super Group, The Black Eyed Peas, Legendary Rock/Pop Icon Chubby Checker, Jessica McClintock, Carol Little and a host of weddings, formal and Corporate events.
Most importantly (and even with a busy schedule) I continue to stay close to my passion, helping others achieve their own personal style and appearance. For the past 9 years, I've volunteered my time and services (hair, makeup, styling, etc.) to local beauty pageant systems. I am a former member of The League Extraordinary Stylist as a Platform artist teaching and demonstrating Hair and makeup across the country. Not to mention teaching the next generation of stylist as a graduate instructor at my Alma Mater, Paul Mitchell The School East Bay. Former Learning Leader in two other Paul Mitchell Schools, having the opportunity to teach our future professionals and mold their careers (Paul Mitchell The School San Jose, and SFIEC a Paul Mitchell partner School), formally the co-owner of the Hair Gym Academy & Salon educating our industry professionals & up and coming professionals all while performing my full time duties as a high end Hair Stylist/ Make-up artist at in the Bay Area.
Based on my extensive background in fashion, hair, make-up, and choreography, I created a business, Carpe Diem (which is a Latin phrase that means "Seize the Day") where my slogan, "Create your Vision With Shear Glamour", and mission statement is to help empower people (men and women) with personal styling as a way to build confidence and inner strength. My plan was to open a salon offering a full complement of styling services. From wardrobe, to hair and makeup, to beauty tips that help our clients stay fabulous until their next appointment. My vision is that through these services woman, men, and children can build self-confidence and be better equipped to tackle life's challenges and look great while doing so. This has lead me to where I am today as the former Co-Owner and Vice President of The Hair Gym Academy Salon in Oakland, CA. While working on my current new business as founder and owner of Carpe Diem Glamour (1 stop shop) Full Service Salon specializing in Fashion, Academy & Salon services.

I am Isabel, a Certified Eyelash Technician and Beauty Stylist hailing from the Bay Area. Since December 2021, I have held official certification in the art of Eyelash Extensions, dedicating considerable time and effort to honing my skills through practical experience with both friends and family. During this period, my passion for this craft blossomed, compelling me to pursue further education in order to elevate my expertise and transform my passion into a fulfilling career.
With the aim of delving deeper into the industry and realizing my aspirations, I made the decision to enroll at the JD Academy of Salon and Spa in Danville, CA, commencing my studies in July 2022. I successfully completed my training and graduated in April 2023, obtaining my license as a certified Cosmetologist.
Excited to embark on this new chapter and embrace the challenges that arise within this dynamic and ever-evolving industry, I have recently joined the renowned Carpe Diem Glamour Full-Service Salon in Pleasanton, CA. The opportunity to contribute my extensive knowledge and skills in the field of eyelash extensions was extended to me due to the strong rapport I cultivated with my former instructor, who happens to be the owner of Carpe Diem Glamour Full-Service Salon, Mignon. While my passion primarily lies in the realm of Eyelash Extensions, my time at JD Academy also equipped me with comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in hair and esthetics, expanding my love for the entire beauty industry.
